I will hit two good shots and then miss one. How can I be more consistent in my golf game?\u201d<\/strong><\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Golf is a mirror of who you are off the golf course. During an average day, we make many faulty judgments that result in mistakes. Yet we seem to dismiss them more easily than we do mistakes on the golf course. Here are four tips to improve your consistency and scoring:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Change your attitude<\/span><\/strong>. Adopt the attitude that off-line shots, 3-putts, and other mistakes will occur as a result of your humanness. This will help you focus on recovering well rather than dwelling on a bad shot.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Use a pre-shot routine<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cWhat you think, you create.\u201d Your pre-shot routine is the map that gives direction to your brain about the shot you are going to hit.\u00a0 For your swings to be similar, your routine prior to swinging must be the same every time. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0<strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Be decisive<\/span>.<\/strong> If you hit shots without being totally committed to the choice of club, swing tempo, or other parts of your preparation routine, you are giving your brain a mixed message which will most likely produce a different result than what you intend.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Remain positive<\/span><\/strong>.
