As a former certified teaching professional in three sports, and an amateur tournament golfer for 50 years, my mission is to give back to athletes what I have experienced, researched and applied for my own winning performances. In my golf career I have experienced and overcome all the possible situations on the golf course that cause fear, self-doubt, indecision, and distractions. It is my desire to share with you PMI's mental game plan to change these into positive affirming traits. At the request of participants in PMI workshops, we have produced hypnosis CDs to improve the 4 C's that are missing from most golfers' mental games; Control, Confidence, Consistency and Concentration for every club in your bag.
An important tool in your mental game plan is to use hypnosis. Peak performances are obtained when golfers rely on their subconscious minds to play on automatic pilot. World class athletes use hypnotic mental imagery to program their minds and bodies for peak performances. Hypnosis works because all permanent change takes place in your subconscious mind.
Imagine your golf game where you feel in complete control. Where it is easy for you to stay in the moment, concentrate fully, and focus on your target on each shot. You are able to let go of missed shots and trust your swing. Your confidence soars with each shot that you hit. When you putt you remain calm. Your short game is easily executed with precision. You possess total confidence and remain composed in competition. Playing the last few holes your concentration intensifies and you finish strong.
This is a description of what "zone golf" is all about. My premise is that you will shoot your career best rounds and enjoy it most when you are in the "golf zone state." The zone happens when your performance is motivated by your subconscious mind. As a golfer who has put herself into that golf zone state to win numerous tournaments, who has shot 69, had several holes-in-one, dozens of eagles, a double eagle, and qualified for 8 USGA Senior Amateur Championships, I would like to give you the mental golf tips to move yourself into "the zone state" to score low.
